"Wait, are you sure you want to do this? You're going to lose your place as a beta. And I don't want you to be mad or sad for that. "I asked, looking down. Although I was extremely happy to leave this death-forsaken place, I didn't want my brother to do something that he didn't want to do and I knew that taking over my father's spot was my brother's dream.
"Irs, I'd do anything to keep you safe. You're my only family left and I took the responsibility to look after you when Mum and Dad...." He trailed off. I looked up and met his sad eyes. I let out a small nod, telling him to carry on.
"Just place your name instead of mine. And don't say the beta crap. I, Gabe Raaz, officially lose all the communication and ties to the Blue Moon Pack and pull away as beta." He nodded, telling me it was my turn.
"I, Elea Cyrus, officially lose all communication and ties to the Blue Moon Pack," I repeated and felt as though a heavy weight had been lifted off of me. It felt nice and I felt free. I smiled as Gabe grinned.
"Let's go," Gabe said. Before we left, Gabe sprayed some perfume on us that would hide our scent. He took my hand and we jumped out of the 2 story building. Being werewolf's made it easier. We swiftly landed on 2 feet and took off towards the woods. We ran in our human form for a bit until we were far from the pack house. We stopped and I was panting because of how in-fit I was but Gabe stood tall.
"What if the patrol catches us?" I ask as panic sets in. I didn't even think about that!
"Chill sis, we won't get caught because I told Sam that I would take patrol on the west side today." We both grin at that good idea and how rogues would be free to enter from the west side.
"Now go and change. I'll keep watch." He points to a tree and I nod, trusting my brother. I walk behind it and start to strip. I place my clothes into my bag then I change to my wolf. Only my brother has seen my wolf because no one else in the pack knows that I have already shifted. He was the only person there when I went through the most painful thing in my life. The first shift is always the worst and when you shift, you earn a new friend. Also known as your wolf, that can speak to you and can take over your body when you're mad. Mine is named Skylar.
I walk out with my bag in between my mouth and then signal for Gabe to go. He nods then leaves. I take the time to notice my fur color. It is brown with red streaks and my ears are a nice dark red. I am a bit bigger than the size of an average she-wolf because of my beta blood. Everyone's fur color normally goes by their hair color.
"I'm ready. Let's go." I look up to see my brother's chocolate brown fur and his blue eyes looking at me. I nod and we start to walk. He was bigger than the average wolf also because of beta blood. Because we are close relatives, we can still talk to each other in our minds which I am grateful for. In the past years, Gabe has become my best friend. The one I can tell anything to. When I hate someone, when I like someone or when I need someone to cry on. I am so glad I have him.
It has been 4 days since we have left our old pack. Every day we walk in our wolf form and sleep in our human form at night. We have limited our food and I have lost a couple of kgs from the exercise and limit of food. I have basically lost all my chubby fat.
"And then you farted!" Gabe falls back and laughs his head off, holding his stomach. I laugh with him and then roll my eyes. If I were next to him, I would punch him.
"It was spicy food!" I groan. I ignore his laughter and lie down, looking at the stars above our heads. We were in a little clearing in the middle of the forest. We were sitting on flat, green grass and Gabe had made a fire in the middle of the clearing. We sat on opposite sides, remembering all the good times. Over the fire, was a little squirrel that Gabe had caught. I sat up and watched as it cooked.
"Sorry sis, but that was funny!" zhe stated while rotating the squirrel.
"It's fine, but I have a question for you. Don't lie, 'cause I know when you do." I point my finger at him.
"Oh yeah, how?" He asked, eyebrow raised.
"You always pop your letters." I stated, giving him an 'I know it all looks.'
He rolled his eyes, "Whatever, go for it." he had an amused look on his face before he leaned back on his hands.
"Are you a virgin?" I asked and he blushes at that.
"Hmmmm, truthfully..... I am. Hard to believe from having this body." he waves his hand showing his body and I roll my eyes.
"Serious?" I lift my right eyebrow.
It was really hard to think that my brother wasn't a virgin. I mean, he was a really sweet guy but his looks were too good. Brown hair, ocean blue eyes, tanned skin, and a good build. Girls would be drooling over such a man but I knew my brother wasn't like that.
