“I want you, honey. Go deeper.”
“Oh babe, you're so wet.” sounds of intimating movements popped into Rory’s ears.
Rory, who was in a white wedding dress, stood at the door of the wedding shop. Looking at the man and woman who were kissing in the Cayenne parked by the roadside, Rory got sad.
She and her fiancé were supposed to try on the wedding dress together today. They agreed to meet at the bridal shop. She waited for a long time, but something unexpected happened.
The man turned his back on Rory, and he was passionately kissing the woman who responded enthusiastically. Rory looked through the window and saw the woman giving her a triumphant smile.
Rory was stunned because she hadn't expected that the woman who was hooking up with her fiancé was her elder sister.
Rory cried uncontrollably. She bit her teeth, embarrassed and angry.
Five minutes ago, Cole texted her that he couldn't wait to see how she looked in a wedding dress. Without thinking, she went downstairs and waited for him.
How ridiculous she looked in her wedding dress now.
Rory understood in an instant.
It was Sylvia who texted her. Sylvia had asked her to come down so that she could see that, and Sylvia wanted to show off.
"Sylvia and her mom have taken my dad, but she isn't satisfied. She even wants my fiancé now," Rory thought.
What made Rory even more disappointed was that Cole cheated on her.
Cole knew she hated Sylvia, but he conspired with Sylvia.
Rory felt as if she had a nightmare. She was afraid that she would lose control and do something irrational, so she fled there awkwardly before Cole could find out.
Sylvia called her before long and said in complacency and provocation, "Rory, you have seen it, right? Cole has always loved me, so he won't marry you, and there's no way I'm gonna let him marry you. He is mine, so give up!"
Losing her wits, Rory wandered in the street throughout the afternoon. In her wedding dress, she was in tears and got oblivious to the constant stares from passers-by.
When passing a bar, she went in and ordered a lot of drinks. She sobbed her heart out as she drank, trying to anesthetize herself with alcohol.
Rory was so drunk that she fell asleep on the sofa in the private room that night.
She was woken up by the phone ringing the next morning.
She answered the phone in a daze. Before she could speak, she heard Cole say in anger, "Where are you, Rory? Do you know I waited for you at the bridal shop all afternoon yesterday? Since you don't value it, I don't think we should get married."
Rory sobered up suddenly and felt sad and ironic.
She stopped wanting to marry Cole yesterday.
After hanging up, Rory went to the bathroom to wash her face and then left the private room to check out.
When reaching the corridor, she saw a tall man coming towards her.
Rory didn't notice the man at first. When he approached, she heard his assistant say respectfully behind him, "As instructed by the chairman, your main itinerary today is to apply for the marriage license with Ms. Tatum and to celebrate with her at dinner, Alpha Blake."
"Alpha? Why did his assistant call him Alpha? He's Blake Woods, isn't he?" Rory thought, but her thoughts were interrupted by his answer.
"I'm not free," he replied coldly.
"But... the chairman said you should get married at any cost. If it is simply because you don't like Ms. Tatum, he won't stop sending other women until you find one you like."
With cold sweat, the assistant relayed what Christopher Woods said with some caution.
"Hmph, he hasn't given up yet! Pick a woman from young girls of note. I'll marry anyone except the women he sends. I want him to stop thinking about it," the man ordered.
The man snorted coldly and acted with great decisiveness. However, no one knew that his wolf was restless. It seemed to feel something, and he tried his best to fight it down.
"Mate! I have a sense for her," cried his wolf in his mind restlessly.
The assistant got dumbfounded on the spot, "Alp... Mr. Woods... are you kidding?"
The man looked coldly at the assistant, "Do I look like I'm joking?"
"No, you don't. But... this is a lifetime event after all. Aren't you being a little hasty?" the assistant thought.
The assistant bit his tongue. He was tempted to persuade his boss, but he kept his mouth shut when seeing his boss look unquestionable.
It was until then that Rory couldn't help but look sideways at the man.
He was a strikingly handsome man with fine facial features, and he had thin lips, a high nose as well as cold and commanding and deep eyes.
The well-tailored suit made him tall and slender and attractive.
He was cold, untouchable and commanding with an air of inaccessible asceticism, and he looked formidably powerful.
Rory knew the man. He was Blake Woods, the president of Brilliant Entertainment Group. Recognized as a big shot in the entertainment industry, he usually acted in a low-key manner and rarely appeared in public. Rory was lucky enough to meet him once when she was an intern reporter before.
Rory didn't expect to meet him here.
Blake had already passed her by while Rory was thinking about it, and she couldn't help but have an idea.
Rory thought to herself, "Blake is looking for someone to get married to, and I was betrayed by my fiancé. There is no emotional bond between him and me, so a sham marriage with him is OK.
Most importantly, I want Sylvia to know that I can marry a better man than Cole, and I'm gonna make Cole regret it."
Thinking of that, Rory immediately stopped Blake, "Wait a minute, please, Mr. Woods."
Hearing what she said abruptly, both Blake and the assistant got startled and turned around at the same time.
"What can I do for you?"
The assistant stood vigilantly in front of Blake and helped him ask, "What can I do for you?"
Rory strode to the two, nodded, and said bluntly, "I just heard Mr. Woods say that he wanted to marry someone. I wonder if I can marry him."
