"Luna Baine, you're pregnant." The Pack doctor's words were still echoing in her ears. When Elaina came out of the hospital gate, she was holding the lab slip, and her fingers were trembling. Tears were falling down her eyes, but she didn't know whether it was out of joy or sorrow.

Three months ago, she married her mate, Alpha Damon Hayes of the Blood Moon Pack. On the day of her wedding, every she-wolf in the pack was envious of her. In fact, she felt that she was the happiest and the luckiest woman in the entire universe.

"How do you know that? You're just an omega." The same boy frowned.

"See how the lights flicker on and off? That's what Luna said to you 'come on, child, come to me," Elaina didn't answer him directly, explaining patiently.

Afterward, they walked together to the place where Luna Hayes’s body was placed, and the boy cried as soon as he entered the door.

"Really?" His eyes shined.

"Yeah." Elaina nodded in agreement.

Although the boy was feeling better, the moment he was about to say something, their conversation was interrupted. It was Alpha Hayes who showed up out of blue. Before going out, the boy told Elaina that his name was Damon.

Afterwards, it was at the pack meeting that Elaina saw the same boy from that night standing next to Alpha Hayes. That day, she got to know that he had come there to visit his grandmother that night, and he was the future Alpha.

At the pack, it was very unusual for an Alpha to tell his name to a werewolf lower than his rank. But he told her his name.

She took a shower and was about to rest when she suddenly heard the door of her room suddenly open with a loud thud.

When she looked up, a cold and handsome face unexpectedly appeared in front of her eyes. Her heart suddenly lost control.

"Alpha Hayes, you're back," she regained her composure and carefully said those words with a faint smile. But as soon as she stepped forward, the man yanked her arm and mercilessly threw her toward the bed.

His well-defined fingers tightly held Elaina's chin, and his eyes were stained with drunkenness and anger.

"Elaina, I never knew that you like me to this extent that you would use such despicable means to climb into my bed?" he said in a questioning tone. His voice was tinged with anger and disgust.

Elaina was dumbfounded. She stared at his face. For twelve years, she loved him. Her heart ached at his venomous words.

"Alpha Hayes, you have misunderstood," she started, but he interrupted her.

"Misunderstood?" He glanced at her and sneered lowly, "Elaina, why are you pretending?"

The Next Day

Elaina woke up from that deadly, dangerous dream. She was not yet fully awake when a box of birth control pills was suddenly thrown over to her face.

"Take this."

She rubbed her forehead and opened her eyes while trying to adjust her eyes with the light. The first thing she saw was that Alpha Hayes was fully dressed up. He looked completely different from the one that appeared before her last night.

When she looked at the box of birth control pills, her heart began to tremble.

She was already pregnant and was not allowed to take birth control pills, as it would lead to pup's deformities.

"Why don't you take it? Do you need me to feed you?" He almost shouted at her.

She was thinking that the baby would bring peace between them, but it turned out that she was really naive.

She was so terrified by his glare that she couldn't open her mouth and tell him that she was pregnant with his child.

Meanwhile, Alpha Hayes was staring at her and waited for her to gulp those pills. So, Elaina had no choice and made the gesture of swallowing those pills. But in reality, she hid the pills under her tongue.

Elaina was scared that Alpha Hayes would see through her. But at that time his cell phone rang. The moment his eyes landed on the caller ID, he picked up the call without thinking, and soon, he frowned.

"What, Tania tried to commit suicide? I am coming right there!!" He panicked. His words awakened Elaina's whole body. Tania tried to commit suicide?

She saw Alpha Hayes walking towards the hospital bed with a worried look. At that moment Tania was sitting on the bed, her face was pale and her eyes were dripping tears. Fortunately, she was out of danger. Elaina breathed a silent sigh of relief.

When Tania saw Alpha Hayes coming towards her, she bowed down and leaned into his arms with a sad expression. "Alpha Hayes..."

She called Alpha Hayes's name with utmost affection and moved more into his arms.

When Elaina looked at Alpha Hayes and Tania in that position, she felt a pang of pain in her chest. It seemed like they were a loving couple and she was just an outsider.
