Back at House of Steven, the butler quickly directed the servants to serve a sumptuous dinner, and the two sat down together and had some.
Raymond stood up first, took the towel handed to him by the butler, and wiped the food residue that was not around his mouth.
"I'm going to the study."
"Well, okay, then I'll rest for a while."
"Yeah."
The simple words were comforting to Vivian, who had just gone through the noisy House of Johnson.
At House of Johnson, Nicole was always a nuisance.
Now being with Raymond, even though sometimes the silence is terrifyingly quiet, she enjoys it.
"Is Miss Vivian unwell? Do you want to see a doctor?"
As the butler was packing up, he saw Vivian in a daze and asked with concern.
"I'm fine. Go and do your business." Vivian shook her head, said thanks, and went upstairs.
"You guys, be alert. If Miss Vivian is in the room, you have to be on standby at all times, do you hear me?"
As Vivian's figure gradually disappeared down the stairs, the butler called in two maids who were smart at home and asked them to stand guard at the door of the upstairs bedroom.
The butler always felt that Vivian was a bit odd today. If anything happened and Raymond asked about it, of course he, as a qualified butler, would have to keep an eye on everything.
"Yes, I get it."
The two little maids, upon hearing this, tiptoed upstairs. Stand quietly at the bedroom door, ready to be summoned at any moment.
But after all, they were not old, and they were very curious about Miss Vivian who had just arrived at House of Steven.
A man like the gentleman must have a very good wife to win his heart.
Thinking this way, seeing Vivian not closing the door, the two little maids looked at each other and crouched down quietly.
Unaware, Vivian returned to her bedroom, changed into a clean set of clothes, and felt a bit powerless.
A faint sigh overflowed. What a cruel twist of fate...
She had planned a perfect life long ago, but never expected it to come to this. Rely on other men to break the deadlock.
Grandpa... If Grandpa's spirit in heaven saw me like this, I wonder if it would be sad...
Vivian closed her eyes and rubbed them, feeling a bit dry.
The maid fixed her eyes on the slightly open crack of the door and, suddenly, seemed to see Vivian wiping her tears.
I was startled. What was going on?
Did the Miss Vivian cry?
"What shall we do? Shall we go and tell the gentleman?"
"Didn't the butler say that anything should be told to him immediately?"
After some thought, the two went to find the butler.
The butler was taken aback when he heard the maids' vivid accounts.
What exactly happened when they went back to House of Johnson?
Not thinking that Raymond might still be dealing with documents, the butler hurriedly knocked on the study door with the little maid.
"Come in."
"Sir."
The atmosphere in the study was so oppressive that the two little maids dared not raise their heads.
A chill ran through my back, but I forced myself to move forward.
"Just now we passed by the Miss Vivian's room and seemed to see... I saw the Miss Vivian crying."
Crying?
What's going on?
Raymond is confused. I really can't figure out a woman's mind.
What a nuisance!
Raymond had no intention of paying attention at first, but after a while he put down the documents in his hand.
He was almost done with his work and it was time for him to go back to his room to rest.
"I see. You go out."
Slowly putting the documents in his hand, Raymond was sorting them out and waving to the butler and maid. The three of them, as if pardoned, quickly withdrew.
In a daze, Vivian fell asleep, and her faint snoring added a touch of silence to the dark room.
Raymond frowned as he looked at the woman lying in bed. How could this be crying? He must be asleep.
No lights on, sitting by the bedside.
Raymond looked at Vivian's sleeping face and felt a rush of thirst in his throat.
This damned woman, no sleeping posture, dressed like this, if it were someone else who came into this room instead of herself, wouldn't they have seen this glamorous scene?
He reached out to pull Vivian's quilt in, but perhaps the movement was a little too big and he didn't notice to wake her up.
"You're back? Go to bed early."
Rubbing her eyes, the newly awakened Vivian has a unique charm.
At least compared to her usual days, she has a bit more feminine air, is much gentler, and doesn't look like a bared tiger.
Raymond was very satisfied with her behavior. What belongs to him should be to his liking.
"You have something to do." Likewise, there shouldn't be anything to hide from him.
Three simple words brought Vivian completely to her senses.
Did this man learn mind reading? She didn't show such obvious signs, did she?
Vivian chose to remain silent for the time being, having guessed her intention to hide it.
"Don't sleep."
Not realizing that his actions were somewhat unscrupulous, Raymond leaned forward and threw Vivian down on the bed.
Vivian blushed all over her face from Raymond's actions and could not remain calm.
Vivian's heart was pounding like a deer when she thought of how Raymond had been like a few days ago. Raymond was a very different person when he was in a good mood.
"I say, I say!"
"Late."
No sooner had she finished speaking than a bunch of rough kisses came down on Vivian.
Vivian couldn't help groaning, and her weak, boneless voice startled her.
It couldn't have been her voice. How could she have made such a sound...
"Put your hand down."
Vivian had no self-control at all at this point. When she was deeply in love, she would give in to what Raymond told her to do.
It was getting late at night. Only faint moans and the man's low growls could be heard. Another night of intimacy.
Just as Raymond was about to fall asleep, he suddenly heard Vivian's voice lower than a mosquito's chirp: "I... Nothing really happened between him and me... Can you trust me just this once?"
Even though Vivian had discussed Gavin's problem with Raymond before, she still had to make it clear. Once a seed of doubt was planted in Raymond's heart at this point, it was unknown when it would break the sky.
"Trust you." Raymond was impatient. Women are really troublesome.
Although she could sense Raymond's impatience, Vivian couldn't help but be happy. She could sense that Raymond was truly trusting her, not just going through the motions.
"Don't hide anything from me, don't break the three rules."
Hearing Raymond add, Vivian closed her eyes with a smile.
Even if it was a deal, she seemed more willing to do it.
It's nice to have someone who believes in her.
Looking at Raymond who seemed to be asleep, Vivian yawned a little, rolled over and fell into a deep sleep too.
