Nicole was truly father-daughter, and when she saw John wounded, she rushed over to try to pull him away.
But still trying to stir up trouble with her lips, "Mr.Raymond, how could you do this to dad? It's clearly your sister's fault. You've been fooled by her."
Vivian tried to smile when she heard her "kind-hearted" sister say this about her.
Sure enough, Nicole's number of segments is still too low compared to Sophia.
"Mr.Raymond? Do you have a sister?" Raymond's tenderness, rarely seen in a hundred years, appeared as he stroked Vivian's hair and asked affectionately.
"No." Vivian was almost bewitched by the tenderness, but soon came to her senses. This is not Raymond's style.
She felt that the world owed Raymond an Oscar, and if he didn't become president, he would have no problem winning a Best Actor.
Raymond turned his gaze to Nicole, his previous tenderness vanished instantly, and he snapped, "Did you hear that?"
Though he said only four words in a not-too-heavy volume, Nicole felt a huge chill seep from the soles of her feet to her whole body, nodding in silence, her soul gone.
"Is that what Mr. John said about everything being done?"
But Raymond wasn't such a kind person, and Nicole's reaction was seen by him as a provocation, and the force in his hand was even greater.
John, disregarding the pain in his wrist, complained in his heart and begged for mercy repeatedly: "It's my fault for not teaching my daughter well. Mr.Steven, please let go of your hand first." He turned his head and glared at Nicole, "and you still don't apologize to your Mr.Raymond and sister!"
Nicole felt embarrassed that she had been treated like this for John, biting her lip and refusing to speak.
"Apologize quickly!" John raised his voice and repeated it. He couldn't stand the pain anymore.
Nicole's eyes were brimming with tears, and she said indignantly, "I'm sorry." But there was no hint of apology in her tone.
Vivian suddenly lost interest in watching the show, and it was rather tiresome to keep doing this.
She had left House of Johnson and had no intention of coming back here. The people here, even if they were to come and torture them, would be rather dull.
"Raymond, let's get our stuff and go home. I'm a little tired." She snuggled up to Raymond, her face full of coldness towards Nicole and John.
Only then did Raymond let go of John and put his hand around Vivian's tiny waist again.
John was already extremely frustrated. He had given up hope of cooperation, hoping that Raymond would not be provoked and that he would end up like his mother's family.
Sophia, too, came down with an antique jewelry box in her arms, each of which she loved so much that she had already decided which one to wear to the banquet and which one to give Nicole as her dowry.
But now, it's all gone just because of one Vivian!
Vivian didn't care how much Sophia's heart was bleeding. She almost couldn't wait to take it from her hand and touched the lines on it with care and attachment.
A smile played at the corner of her mouth, for a moment as gentle as water. All that lively expression fell into Raymond's eyes, and his heart stirred.
With a heart full of pain, Sophia stopped looking at the box of priceless jewelry and went to the kitchen in humiliation.
She was busy in the kitchen for a long time and finally managed to come up with a few dishes.
If it weren't for the sight of everyone, she would have really wanted to put arsenic in the dish and poison that naughty girl.
Even though she thought this way, she was still gentle and kind on the surface. Just looking at her smiling at Vivian in her apron, no one could see her venomous heart.
"The meal is ready, come and eat."
"Yeah, it won't taste good when it gets cold, Raymond, you must have a good taste of your aunt Lin's cooking today." John chimed in from the side.
Raymond glanced at Vivian and ignored both of them. "Vivian, do you want to eat?"
"Not hungry, I don't want to eat."
Vivian looked at her watch and raised her eyebrows: "Didn't you say there's a dinner party tonight? It's time to go."
Sly woman.
Raymond put his arm around Vivian's shoulder and said to John, "What happened today, I don't think Mr. John will happen a second time. Vivian and I are leaving first."
John, not even daring to say a word to persuade them to leave, covered his injured wrist and watched them go.
None of the three of House of Johnson were happy as they watched the two of them walk away, their intimate figures.
John felt that he had lost both his wife and his troops. He had given the items to Vivian, but the cooperation was still uncertain.
Sophia was so frustrated that she swallowed her pride and prepared a table full of dishes, but they just left without a second thought.
As for Nicole, her thoughts were hard to fathom, but one thing was clear: she hated Vivian even more...
Raymond was speeding along the shady street in his Rolls-Royce, and it was not yet dark.
The sun hung just above the mountainside, and the warm twilight cast a warm orange glow on Raymond's face.
Vivian, sitting aside, looked at the scene of the handsome young man on the road and couldn't help being moved. She smiled at him tenderly, like a woman in love, full of shyness: "Thank you today."
"You are Mrs. Steven. Settle these matters and keep your duty." A trace of unknown emotion flashed through Raymond's mind, but his tone was cold.
"Honest?" The two words made Vivian feel as if she had fallen into an ice cellar. The deal, which was already somewhat vague, suddenly came to her mind.
"You've had a lot of trouble recently." Raymond frowned, looking very uncomfortable at Vivian's appearance.
What is meant by "piercing the heart with an arrow", Vivian finally understood.
Raymond is a formidable figure in the business world, and with just two words, he pierced Vivian's heart.
Vivian took several deep breaths, rolled down the car window and let the cool breeze in to cool her beating heart.
After a while, she smoothed her disheveled hair and casually tied it to one side, saying word by word, "I understand. I'll be careful not to cause you any trouble in the future."
Although Raymond meant the same thing, the words that came out of Vivian's mouth made him feel a nameless fire in his heart. He turned his head and calmly spat out a few words: "It's good that you know."
"Mr.Steven, rest assured, I know what I should do." Vivian said to him insincerely, without the slightest weakness.
Raymond stopped talking and just stepped on the accelerator to the floor, speeding up to over 200 miles per hour. Vivian didn't react at all, and her whole body was knocked straight into the car seat by the powerful thrust.
Even though the seat cushion was made of pure cowhide, she still felt a bit of pain.
More importantly, the sudden acceleration made her heart very uncomfortable. She held her beating heart with one hand and shouted in a bad tone, "Raymond, you're crazy! "Driving so fast!"
With a whoosh, Raymond slammed hard on the brakes.
Due to inertia, Vivian was almost choked by her seat belt and could hardly breathe, but if she hadn't fastened her seat belt, she would have crashed into the car window and was just about to speak up to argue with Raymond.
Raymond seemed completely indifferent and said coldly, "Get out of the car."
"What?" Vivian gasped, not expecting Raymond to be so out of control. She had done as he said, so what was there to be angry about? She did this... None of them are angry, okay!
"Get off." Raymond repeated, pressing the door button directly, with a very clear attitude.
