Vivian is meeting Rose today at a cafe in the heart of Frances City's CBD.
The cafe has been thriving because of its prime location and good business.
Today, however, it has been deserted.
"Vivian, if you have something to do, just go to my peach Blossom Pavilion. Why come here?" Rose complained a little, though she had a lively personality, she just didn't like to be noisy.
The CBD was bustling, but there were so many people that she felt dizzy looking at it.
Vivian herself grinds a cup of coffee for Rose. "Every time it's me who goes to your territory, and today you must come and see my territory too. You say, how about using this as our gallery address?"
"Are you crazy?" Rose was almost touching Vivian to see if she had a fever.
Neither of them is short of money, but opening a gallery in this land of great value?
There's money to burn! Just the rent alone is a big expense!
Vivian raised her eyebrows slightly, looking mischievous. "Rich, capricious!"
Rose was taken aback at first, looking at the closed door of the cafe, and then came to her senses.
She covered her mouth in disbelief, her almond-shaped eyes wide open, "No... Is this store yours?"
Vivian never hides her flamboyance in front of her friends. She shrugged gracefully:
"Unfortunately, exactly." This is the place that Grandpa left for her before he left, and no one knows.
Thinking of her grandfather, Vivian felt a bit nostalgic. That kind and wise old man left her a way out even at the last moment.
If she really breaks up with House of Johnson, then this coffee shop is her last resort.
Alas... Vivian pulled her eyelids down. She was going to let her grandfather down again.
There are some things she doesn't want and can't let go of.
Her thoughts were swirling around and eventually Rose pulled her back.
Rose was already full of little stars, "Rich guy?"
The friend's reaction pleased Vivian, who clapped her hands in coordination and laughed: "yes!"
When Rose calmed down, she was still a little worried: "Vivian, have you ever thought that opening the gallery here is a waste of resources? There are office workers all around, and probably not many people would like to look at the paintings."
Vivian had already thought about this, "It will depend on the skills of our future collaborators."
Today, Vivian has arranged for four of her partners to come here one after another for talks.
The agents she caught her eye all had their own strengths, but unfortunately, with Richard setting a good example, none of them could fully satisfy her.
Seeing Vivian's nitpicking, Rose began to have a headache again.
"Vivian, there's only one Richard. Could you please lower your requirements a little?"
Vivian was silent. The gallery was a continuation of her love for her grandfather and her dream, so she didn't want to settle at all.
But as Rose said, there was only one Richard.
Just as Vivian was about to compromise, her phone suddenly rang.
It was Raymond.
Vivian checked the time, three o 'clock in the afternoon.
"Raymond?" Vivian answered the phone, but there was no sound on the other end, and asked in puzzlement.
Raymond's voice came through the airwaves, carrying a chill: "You are my female companion at the charity dinner tonight. Get ready."
It was a notice, not an inquiry, so Raymond hung up the phone as soon as he finished.
Vivian was somewhat displeased, but she still said goodbye to Rose and made an appointment for SPA and beauty treatments.
She knew very well that Raymond never lacked women even though he was famous. If she doesn't go, there will naturally be plenty of women who want to come up.
When other women become Raymond's close female companions, it will be her who has a headache, not Raymond.
Dressed up carefully, Vivian waited at the entrance of the club for Raymond to pick her up.
When she was extremely bored, she heard two noble ladies chatting casually in the club.
Hey, have you heard about it? Mrs.Johnson has been looking for a partner for her second daughter recently."
"Of course I've heard about it. With Sophia's flamboyant appearance, I guess none of the young talents in our city of Frances would be worthy of her precious daughter."
"Hehe, her stepdaughter married Raymond, but showed off for a while. But it's true that even if House of Steven didn't pay much attention to House of Johnson, it did raise the little girl's worth a lot."
"Yeah, who wouldn't want to be Mr.Raymond to Mr.Steven? The House of Johnson bears the risk of offending House of Steven, but the benefits can be shared."
"It's a pity my son is already married. Otherwise, let him join in the fun. It would be a good thing for anyone to have a share of the House of Steven."
The rest of the conversation, Vivian could no longer hear clearly because the two ladies had gone further and further away.
In her mind, she was still digesting the message just now.
Has Nicole started looking for a new job? It seems Sophia is too shrewd to dare to use House of Steven as a gimmick?
She played with the damsel on her finger, her eyes sharp.
Raymond's car stopped in front of her, and that was what Vivian looked like through the window.
In just a moment, she reined in all her sharpness.
"Raymond, thank you for coming to pick me up." Vivian smiled with great restraint, her eyebrows and eyes curved.
Raymond snorted coldly, "Really? Put away that look." It shouldn't be like this in his heart.
Vivian didn't expect Raymond to expose her directly, and her face turned cold in a second.
When she's willing to be in love with a cold face?
Feeling the silence, Raymond's fingers trembled slightly, and after a few minutes he said, "Seize the opportunity for tonight's banquet."
"HMM?" " Vivian didn't understand what he meant. It seemed that he didn't explain any more, so she had to keep the question to herself.
Opportunity?
Today is a charity auction. Is she supposed to buy something?
Thinking that all her liquid funds had already been invested in the House of Steven Group subsidiary and the gallery, Vivian frowned slightly.
Raymond has contributed money in his last fight with Nicole.
But now she doesn't want to trouble him anymore, so that he won't find her troublesome when he settles accounts later.
Thinking this way, Vivian stroked her handbag, pondering how she could get through the night smoothly.
Seeing that Vivian didn't understand what he meant, Raymond said no more.
Today's banquet was his reward for Vivian's good behavior during this period.
Although he didn't like Vivian's pretentious posture, she had to say that she had done a good job.
At least, the House of Steven in the eyes of outsiders is no longer as intimidating as it was before they got married.
This is also Raymond's original purpose for considering marriage.
But why does he always feel dissatisfied with something?
The car was speeding along, and Raymond couldn't find an answer until he reached the Hilton Hotel where the auction was being held.
Well, well, just take it one step at a time.
Let Vivian smile and hold his arm, Raymond thought.
