She couldn't explain the reason, but Bailey felt that the man behind her was familiar to her. But when she sifted through her memory of all the men she knew and had seen, she couldn't find a single one that matched the man behind her.
The man had a cold air, a fierce fist, and a ruthless attack. Wherever he appeared, there was an air of killing and hostility that gave an inexplicable sense of oppression, as if the air around him was covered with frost.
She had four unlucky fiances, all of whom were ordinary and mediocre people.
Keith is a cowardly man who cries more than a woman when he sees a mouse.
Henry, lacking the masculinity, is the male version of the sick beauty.
None of them. They don't fit.
Bailey grew more and more puzzled about who this man was behind her, feeling both strange and familiar.
"Provocation doesn't work. I'm not going to fall for you. I'm gone. I hope we'll never meet again." Henry saw through Bailey's little trick with ease.
When he heard that Henry was leaving and said he would never see again, Bailey was anxious and quickly said, "You can't go. I've brought more than ten brothers here to stand guard outside. If you go out, you'll be taken down."
Bailey knew in his heart that there was only Philip, a half-drunk fellow, outside. I guess the man behind me could knock Philip down with just two fingers.
She made up more than ten men to scare him.
When Henry heard Bailey say this, a haughty smile spread across his lips. Perhaps in her eyes, a dozen or so people were already a lot, but to him they were nothing. His best record was to take on twenty fully armed special forces in half an hour.
If it's a flock of sheep besiege a tiger, not to mention more than ten, but dozens or even hundreds, then what's the use?
It seems that I will have to find an opportunity to show off my strength in front of her in the future, lest she look down on me so much.
But when Henry thought about it, he found something wrong.
With Bailey's straightforward temper, she always says what's right and what's wrong. If she had really brought a dozen or so people and managed to keep her strength until now, she would probably have kicked the door open and been beaten up from the very beginning.
Oh, it turned out she was cheating me.
Last time it was a provocation, this time it's an empty city stratagem. This woman has quite a few tricks up her sleeve.
Henry said, "Remember, you can never deceive me."
Bailey was taken aback as he had seen through his cards again.
Suddenly she felt her earlobe enveloped in a moist warmth, and then a sudden pain.
"You bite me?" Bailey just came to his senses.
"Little punishment."
"Henry said, giving Bailey a sudden push forward.
By the time Bailey stood still and looked back, the man behind him had vanished.
She rushed out, and the corridor was empty, with only the wild cheers of the audience coming from the front.
Despite the noise, Philip slept very soundly. Bailey had arranged for him to stay here and watch, but instead he fell asleep under the influence of alcohol.
He was still in a daze until Bailey shook him awake.
Bailey was quite helpless. He dragged Philip out of the fight club, took a taxi and dropped him home first before turning around and going back to the hospital.
It was almost half past twelve when Bailey returned to the high-ranking official's ward. She glanced at her mother, who was sleeping peacefully, with two nurses beside her bed monitoring the instrument data.
They saw Bailey and nodded and smiled at her.
Bailey had to admit that although Henry was a cynical, lazy and sickly third-generation soldier, he was very kind to her, and that her mother would not have enjoyed such medical conditions without his help.
Whatever came her way, and when the phone rang, Bailey saw it was Henry.
"You're back?"Henry asked.
"Yeah, I'm at the hospital."
"Then I'm relieved."
"I'm fine. Just sleep soundly." Bailey glanced at the clock hanging on the wall. It was almost one o 'clock in the morning. Henry, that little body, still not sleeping at this time, is a bit suicidal.
"I'm excited to think that you'll come to my house tomorrow."
"Don't get excited yet. If I say something wrong tomorrow, you'll blame me then." Bailey gets nervous when it comes to going to House of Morris.
"I'm always here. Go to sleep quickly. Oh, no, it's the two of us sleeping together." Henry chuckled on the other end of the phone.
"Two sleeping together," he said in a rather ambiguous way, instantly evoking a lot of things that are not suitable for children. Bailey felt strange, but couldn't find anything wrong in his words.
"Can you put it in another way?"
"What's wrong with that?"
"It sounds odd."
Your thinking is too complicated. You tend to think of everything in those heretical and evil ways. Alas, there aren't many people in society as pure and innocent as I am now. Forget it. I won't talk about it. Go to sleep. I'll help you correct your values when I have the chance." Henry was about to hang up.
"Henry, wait a moment." Bailey suddenly thought of a question.
"What? You don t want to hang up my phone?"
"How did you know I was out?" She got a call from Philip at the last minute and left the hospital immediately. But as soon as Henry opened his mouth, he asked if he had gone back, showing that he knew he had gone out.
But why did he know?
Henry was at a loss for words on the other end of the line.
Bailey probably wouldn't believe the reason that he had supernatural powers or could calculate with his fingers. But he can't tell the truth. The person you blocked in the club today is me.
The purpose of his call was to show concern for Bailey's safety. People, of course, came up with the most concerning questions and then went on to talk about the secondary matters.
"Hey, did you drop the line?" Bailey sensed the pause over there.
"No, I'm asking the nurse, saying you're out." Henry managed to plug the hole and felt relieved for a moment.
"No, you care about me. Why don't you call me directly instead of asking the nurse?" Bailey wouldn't let it go. Well, Henry now understands that once a person tells a lie, he has to cover up the first lie with more.
"No, I called the nurse, the nurse called me, and I asked by the way, she said you're out."
"You have quite extensive contacts." Bailey said sarcastically. She was going to meet his family tomorrow as her girlfriend, but he was on the phone with a pretty nurse, and she felt a pang in her heart.
"It's not that you want to." Henry was acutely aware of her underlying meaning. "The Hospital has purchased new drugs that have a good therapeutic effect on my illness, the nurse told me."
"Who knows if it's true or not." Such an explanation did not make her feel comfortable.
"Your call is a bit sour." Henry pursed his lips and laughed at the cute look of her caring about him and slightly jealous.
"I'm going to sleep. Boring."
"You know, the new medicine is very effective. I'm in good health now. If you don't believe it, you can come and test it yourself." His passionate voice came through the phone as if it were right in her ear.
