Henry narrowed his eyes slightly.
Keith is just a buffoon, Carl is the one behind the scenes.
The photo was supposed to have been taken long ago, but it was not posted until the day of the commendation meeting. It can only be said that Carl's plan is getting smarter and smarter.
"Sir Henry, we just received a notice that the commendation meeting was cancelled for some reason." The guard ran over and said to Henry.
Henry wasn't surprised either. He got himself involved in such an incident. The commendation meeting was held as scheduled.
Henry came down in a wheelchair from the stage, and this time Carl didn't come to meet him again, but Henry did.
"Open channel, today is a memorable day, you gave me a big gift. In return, when I have time another day, I will return the gift." Henry smiled, but his eyes were unusually cold.
"You are the person I admire the most, and there are many things I want to learn from you."
Carl laughed heartily, but there was also a hidden meaning in his words.
Henry rocked his wheelchair into a secluded and deserted corner. He sat there alone and thought for a long time.
In fact, he had anticipated in advance the issue of the high-ranking official ward that he couldn't make any mistakes. So, he had adopted a very ingenious plan to arrange this matter.
However, there was one part of his plan that was a little lacking. It wasn't that Henry didn't want to make up for it, but to do so would require special means. Therefore, he has allowed the deficiency to exist without any action.
But now the situation has changed. He is facing Carl, and once Carl catches this minor flaw, he can turn it into a fatal blow.
No way! We must make up for this deficiency no matter what.
Looking down at the time, Henry jumped out of his wheelchair at once. He put the wheelchair here for a while and strode out of the auditorium.
He got into a taxi and sped to the military district hospital.
Bailey was sitting at the operating room door with Alvin. She had been staring intently at the red light that was running.
Just then the elevator door opened and Henry came out of it.
"Master?" Alvin was taken aback. The commendation meeting was over so soon? It shouldn't be.
"You stay here," Henry said to Alvin. Then he grabbed Bailey's hand and said, "Come with me and it will be too late."
"What are you doing? My mom is operating inside." Bailey turned his wrist, trying to get rid of Henry. It turned out that his hand, like a pair of pliers, could not be shaken even a bit. Bailey staggered as he pulled him along.
"Come with me now, you must." Henry's eyes are sharp, his words are like nails, and his face is stern. With a flick of his hand, he pulled Bailey into the elevator.
"What on earth happened?" Sitting in the taxi, Bailey still had no idea what was going on.
"You don't need to know, just obey."Henry said decidedly. It would take no more than an hour to explain the whole thing to Bailey. The situation was urgent and he wouldn't waste a second.
Henry picked up the phone, dialed it and asked, "Is everything ready over there?"
Henry paused for a few seconds and then said, "It must be done within five minutes."
While the last word was still lingering in the air, Henry had already hung up the phone here. He gazed out of the window, his eyes sharp and calm, his features deep and distinct, and his pretty thin lips tightly pursed, giving off a cold air.
He was like a cooler, and Bailey felt as if the air in the taxi had suddenly dropped several degrees.
Today's Henry was quite different from his usual self, but he was in line with the decisiveness and solemnity of a soldier. And the force he exerted today was super strong, Bailey looked down at his wrist, where Henry had held it, and it was all red.
As soon as the taxi came to a stop, Henry casually threw a hundred-dollar bill to the driver and, without asking for change, pulled Bailey out of the car.
Bailey looked up and saw a building before him.
Ah? Why are you here?
Before Bailey could think it through, a powerful force came from her arm and she had already been pulled into the building by Henry.
It went straight up to the third floor, where there were so many people, more than at the market.
Henry, without delay, pulled Bailey straight to the front of the line and went in.
"Hey, comrade, why aren't you in line? You're a soldier." The people behind protested against Henry's cutting in line.
Without even raising his eyelids, Henry casually pulled out a certificate and waved it at the crowd behind him. The staff on the scene, seeing what was going on, laughed and explained to the people in line, "This colleague is a special combat hero and enjoys the service without queuing. Please understand."
Well, then the people behind fell silent. I watched as Henry, who came last, pulled Bailey, who was still clueless, to the front. After all, he had military achievements. This was really not comparable.
"Sit down, look at the camera, laugh, one two three, eggplant."
Bailey's mind went blank now, not knowing what was going on, like a robot, sat down numbly and mechanically at Henry's command, smiled, and took pictures.
Until the end, when the front desk attendant handed Bailey a small red book and smiled to bless her and Henry, she looked up and saw the five words "Marriage Registration Office" pasted on the wall.
Marriage registration Office!
Bailey finally woke up from her dream. What was going on? It had been less than five minutes since she entered the civil office building, and she had gone from being a single woman to a married woman?
"Indeed, less than five minutes." Henry looked at his watch and nodded in satisfaction. The request he had just made over the phone was fulfilled.
With this marriage certificate in hand, the missing little link has already been made up.
Henry's heart was lifted and he let out a long sigh. He returned from a state of high readiness to a state of laziness.
"Henry, what is this?" Bailey raised the marriage certificate in his hand and questioned Henry.
"Oh, I'm sorry, you ask, and I realize I don't recognize these three words." Henry's eyes, which seemed to be filled with mist, had a mischievous glow.
When did I ever say I wanted to marry you?
"Then you never said you wouldn't marry me, did you?"
Bailey: "..."
She really didn't say that, but the question was, why would she say that to Henry for no reason? She wasn't crazy.
Henry stretched out his arms and took Bailey into his own, breathing like a lily and looking like silk, and said to her, "Little thing, just accept your fate. You'll be with me for the rest of your life."
His hand poked into Bailey's coat...
