Bailey felt at this point that everyone's life is actually not easy. Her own life was full of ups and downs, her father died young, her mother was seriously ill, and her love life was full of twists and turns. But who could have imagined that the seemingly glamorous Henry would have such a miserable life, his parents divorced, his family despised him, and he was seriously ill.
"It's nice to have met you. It's like everyone else is living in a sunny day, and only one is moving alone in a heavy downpour, and then you happen to come under my umbrella to shelter from the rain, and I'm no longer alone." Henry said with emotion.
From that Angle, Henry's delicate features, his handsome face, and his sorrowful and distant eyebrows were quite poetic.
This is a very different Henry from his usual giggling, so serious that it's hard to believe.
Bailey stared blankly at Henry, forgetting to speak for a moment.
For some reason, looking at Henry in front of him, Bailey thought of the mysterious man in black. Though he didn't even know what his features looked like, Bailey wondered if there was such a handsome face beneath that headgear.
I don't know what kind of hardship he's burdened with, but that kind of fierce and tough air about him is unforgettable. He may not be a good person, but he always shows mercy to himself.
Alas, why do I keep thinking of him for no reason? Didn't he say that day that he hoped we would never meet again? It seems that he doesn't like me very much.
While Bailey was lost in thought, Henry received a call from Alvin and drove the car to the door. Henry asked Alvin to go ahead and get in the car to wait for him. He quickly returned to his room, packed a few pieces of clothing in a suitcase, and then went out to get into the car.
This scene, of course, was seen by Lynn and the other two sitting in the courtyard.
"Great! This time Henry was really kicked out of the house." Paula danced joyfully, "Dear, you're still amazing."
Paula took Keith's face straight over and put a red lip print on his cheek.
In contrast to Paula's ecstasy, Keith's heart ached terribly. He didn't care if Henry left House of Morris, he only cared if Bailey left Henry.
But it turned out he failed. Bailey and Henry got into the same car and drove away. Even when Henry was kicked out of House of Morris, she was still with him.
Paula gave him a kiss, but Keith reacted indifferently.
"What's wrong with you today?"
Paula felt that her fiery enthusiasm had been dampened by Keith's coldness.
"I'm a little tired." Keith pinched his forehead.
"Paula, Keith doesn't look well. Take him to rest. Be careful not to let your dad see." Lynn cautioned her daughter.
"All right."
Paula took out her lipstick, touched up her makeup, and then pulled Keith to rest.
Lynn put down her teacup, stood up and tidied up her cheongsam. She looked up at the grand and elegant House of Morris, the quiet and elegant courtyard, and thought that from now on, every plant and tree here could be taken over by her own children. She couldn't help but chuckle.
After Henry left House of Morris, he moved into the place Alvin had arranged for him. It was a small three-story detached house with a basement where servants came to do the cleaning every day.
Henry was finally free from his restraints. He had transformed the basement into a gym with all kinds of equipment. Every day, he could spend several hours here sweating profusely.
Strength is recovering. Power is recovering. Henry felt that his strength was getting closer and closer to his peak.
Bailey has been busy with Tessa's discharge procedures these days because of the high technical level of the Hospital, so Tessa is recovering quickly and can get out of bed right after the operation.
Tessa is rather averse to her daughter's contact with Henry, so these days Henry doesn't show up at the hospital either.
"Wife, if this goes on, will we never see each other again?"Henry said lazily.
"Who's your wife? Don't call her so disgusting, okay? We have a partnership. I treat you like a sister and you treat me like a brother, ok?" Bailey didn't dare to speak too loudly, fearing that Tessa would hear.
Henry was once again disgusted by Bailey's words.
Isn't it normal for two married people to call each other husband and wife? But Bailey avoided the word and told Henry that no one else was allowed to tell him about their marriage except for the necessary people.
"Why hide it? The law recognizes us as husband and wife. You don't allow me to enjoy my rights and fail to fulfill my obligations. You are depriving others of their legitimate interests. Your actions have violated the law." Henry protested, and that doesn't mean he doesn't even have a title.
"Henry, could you please show some face? You told me at the beginning that we could give it a try, and as a result, before we could even try it out, you issued the invoice right away, and I'm glad I didn't ask you for a return."
"Once sold in our store, no returns or exchanges are allowed. You don't need to try it out. This product is durable." He drags a long trailing sound.
"My mom is here and I'm hanging up." Bailey was on the other end of the line, his face already red. What was supposed to be a normal sentence, when it came out of Henry's mouth, took on some kind of hint. Was he overthinking it, or was she overthinking it?
"Oh, the Discipline Inspection Committee is here, you can withdraw." Henry referred to Tessa as the Discipline inspection Committee because Bailey couldn't keep up with him as soon as she arrived.
"Bailey, there's something I need to ask you." Tessa sat beside her daughter: "How did you settle my hospitalization expenses?"
Such an upscale ward, such a renowned military doctor, to enjoy such medical conditions was beyond Tessa's expectations.
"Uncle Alvin was a friend of my father's in his lifetime."
"Why have I never heard your dad mention such a person?" Tessa knew very well that her husband, who spent his days buried in teaching plans and books and rarely went out to socialize, could recite the properties of every element in the periodic table backwards, but could never remember the birthdays of his wife and daughter.
The people who appreciated him were all poor and bookish intellectuals, and there had never been any tycoons.
"Perhaps you don't know, but Uncle Alvin has done us a great favor this time." Bailey couldn't tell her that these things were related to Henry.
Tessa took Bailey's hand, held it in her hand, and said earnestly, "Bailey, we are poor, but we must have ambition. It's already very good that someone can help us out of an emergency, no matter how much money it is, we will pay it back."
"Mom, I understand what you mean. When you get a little better, I'll go to work." Bailey knew that his mother was a strong-willed woman. Bailey felt that his mother was right. No matter how much Alvin was worth or what his relationship with Henry was, the money he owed had to be repaid.
Though Bailey agreed readily, he was worried in his heart about how he could find a way to make quick money.
