Chapter 17 I seem to have killed someone

"Are you crazy?" Diana pulled the needle back, her entire soul being drained away. How could she naively think she could beat him? He was a devil.

Alaric looked at the soulless Diana, lowered his head and bit her on the shoulder: "Now, how will I punish you? Huh?"

A gentle breeze from outside the window blew in, swaying the fire on the carpet, and Diana felt her shoulder being bitten and her whole body trembling uncontrollably.

How should I punish you?

The man's subtle teasing, along with the incense from the flames, made her body gradually limp again, and Alaric's voice was like a enchantment in her ears, making her unable to move.

With a snap of Alaric's palm, he threw the quilt towards the fire, and the fire was immediately covered and quickly extinguished.

Then he threw himself down on her.

“……”

Diana could no longer push him away and could only let him hold her down. She knew there was no escape today, and if the man looked up, he would surely see a look on her face that was deathly ugly.

She closed her eyes in despair and bit her lip, ready to endure another ordeal.

But after about a few minutes, Diana felt as if she could hardly breathe under the man's weight, while the man on her remained motionless, lying on top of her.

Could it be that after all this commotion in broad daylight, she just wanted to lie down on her -- sleep?

"Alaric?" Diana tried to wake him up.

Empty room, only her own voice responded to her...

It can't be...

A terrifying possibility came to Diana's mind, and she was so startled that she pushed him to her side with all her might, but the man remained motionless.

She began to panic. Could it be that the silver needle had pierced the heart -- and killed him!

How could that be?

She took a deep breath, forced herself to calm down and concentrate, picked up the phone, her fingers frantically moving the number, pressed the right key, dialed several times before going out, and the ringtone rang once and connected.

"Diana?" Caleb's voice came.

"Caleb, I seem to have killed someone..."

Caleb was driving and braked sharply: "What did you say? You killed someone? Who did you kill?"

He seemed to sense Diana's urgency and unease and wished he could get straight through the phone.

"I got his heart pierced with a silver needle..."

"Still breathing?"

Hearing Caleb's reminder, she reached out her index finger into Alaric's philtrum. She had been too scared just now, fearing that her finger wouldn't reach his breath, so she called Caleb at once.

Now her felt relieved.

"Yes."

"It's okay. It's just shock. It should be a silver needle piercing the heart nerve. Do you want me to go?"

"No, I'll ask Ian to come."

Ten minutes later

Ian put away the stethoscope: "It's okay, just shock. Plus, I didn't sleep all night, I'll wake up soon."

All night long?

Could it be that you waited for her all night?

Diana nodded perfunctory, and with each nod, the hallucinogenic component of the incense began to stir again, and her mind became more and more scattered.

Ian glanced at the already extinguished incense, the mess on the floor, and the unusual blush on Diana's face, and put the stethoscope in the medicine box: "Next time I'll have to restrain myself..."

"Restraint?"

"Sometimes people can go into shock when they are too excited..." Ian coughed awkwardly, his mind filled with drops of wax, bondage, role-playing...

And he seemed to have discovered a great secret - Alaric likes to use incense in this process...

Diana pressed her finger on her temple, looking bewildered by Ian's words.

"It's quite common for couples to seek thrills, but it's better to do it gradually," Ian explained.

Diana immediately caught Ian's ambiguous and awkward look and instantly understood, and was about to deny it, but Ian said first, "Did you light the incense just now? The incense is still in the room. If you need to take medicine after smelling it, give it. It works in an hour. If you want it quicker, you can soak in cold water after taking the medicine."

Thank you. Taking Ian's medicine, Diana knew she couldn't wait any longer and swallowed it with water without hesitation.

After Ian left, Diana asked David to come in and look after Alaric, and she ran back to her room. Even if she had taken the medicine, the hallucinogenic ingredients had left her completely weak. Following Ian's advice, she soaked her entire body in cold water.

Hugging her knees, she curled up in the water, the cold water seeped into her body, and her restless blood gradually calmed down.

She admitted that it was she who had lost control today and had provoked Alaric, the demon king, to the fullest extent, which was obviously not good for her and made her situation even more dangerous.

But what was strange to her was that for the past three years, even the most slow-witted person could sense Alaric's aversion to her, and she thought divorce wasn't that hard.

Yet Alaric remained unmoved by her repeated provocations.

Did she not believe the nonsense that Alaric had a crush on her, or simply wanted to torment her?

The devil!

The phone rang suddenly and she put on her Bluetooth headset: "Caleb?"

"Is Alaric okay?"

"he'll wake up soon."

"Well... Are you okay? Can you come over today? Your signature is required for the nanny treatment procedures..."

……

"Master?" Are you awake? David reached out to help Alaric.

Startled back by a look from Alaric: "How could it be you? Where's the Diana?"

"Just now the you were in shock, and the madam Diana asked me to look after you here."

"I asked her where she had gone?" Prick him with a needle, leave him to David and run away on his own? This woman always has the ability to turn him upside down and then walk away.

"Dr. Ian said lady took the medicine and went back to her room to take a cold shower. I've had the servants watch her."

Alaric pulled off the blanket and got out of bed, and hurried towards Diana's room, leaving David at the door and pushing open the bathroom door himself.

"Where's the Diana?"

David went in at the sound, and the bathroom was empty.

The rustling sounds in the changing room were almost inaudible.

David, after all, had practiced for a few years and was no less skilled than a bodyguard, nimbly pulled open the sliding door of the changing room. A maid was tied with her hands behind her back, kneeling on both feet, wrapped in a blanket and stuffed in a pair of white men's underpants.

Alaric recognized at a glance that underpants - it was his.

When the maid saw Alaric, she made a "mu-mu-mu-mu-" sound, and when David took the stuff out of her mouth, she heard clearly what she was saying:" Mr. Alaric, the madam has taken my clothes and tied me here..."

Damn it! This woman ignored the confinement he imposed on her and ran away again and again. This time, not only did she disguise herself as a maid to escape, but she deliberately turned off her phone, apparently not wanting him to find her. And she inhaled hallucinatory incense and ran around everywhere!

Half an hour later

"Master, the hospital nurse sent a message saying they saw the madam and... at the hospital entrance."

David gave Alaric a barely audible glance and his voice grew fainter: "With Dr. Caleb."
