Chapter 18: I must take the person away

David gave Alaric a barely audible glance and his voice grew fainter: "The Mrs.Diana is with Dr. Caleb."

In that situation just now, I'd rather die than let him touch it, and now I'm going to find Caleb?

Alaric's gaze slowly turned to David, and the cold light in his eyes made David dare not make eye contact with him.

The Mrs.Diana's behavior was getting more and more strange. Knowing that the young master cared most about the reputation of the House of Owen, she had met Dr. Caleb privately many times, even if it was because of the nurse's illness. After all, as the member of the House of Owen, she had to avoid it at all.

"Tell the nurse that within ten minutes, if she doesn't answer the phone, I will have tens of thousands of ways to remove the Eva's oxygen tube."

Hospital

Diana had just emerged from her taxi, looking a little tired, and Caleb sized her up and down: "Not feeling well?"

"I took the medicine and I'm much better." Just soaking in cold water and then coming out to be exposed to the wind, feeling a bit cold.

Diana tugged at her black servant dress, the puffy hem felt a bit heavy, causing her body to sway in the wind.

"Come to my place to rest for a while? If I had known it would be like this, I wouldn't let you come."

"Didn't I say some procedures would require my signature?"

"It's not a big deal to sign a day or two later."

"Come out and get some fresh air, and sign your name at the same time." Diana took the materials Caleb handed her, some precautions about medication and the risks it could cause, and asked her to sign.

As she signed and handed the materials back to Caleb, the nurse rushed out of the hospital, holding up her phone high, running and Shouting, "Madam, Master's phone."

The nurse ran so fast that she missed a step when going down the stairs and fell into a mess like a dog biting mud.

Caleb took a big step forward and helped the nurse up. The nurse quickly glanced at Caleb, said "Thank you", and had a shy look on her face.

The pain quickly reminded her, and she hurriedly handed the phone to Diana: "Master said that if you don't answer the phone within 10 minutes, he has tens of thousands of ways to get rid of the Eva... Oxygen tube."

Diana frowned hard and gritted her teeth. This bastard starts causing trouble as soon as he wakes up.

Why didn't that needle just kill him?

The phone was held up in front of her, and immediately Alaric's flawless face appeared on the screen. He raised his eyebrows, and his wild and unrestrained air almost broke out of the thin screen.

On the video call, Alaric curled his lips lazily: "Mrs. Alaric are so charming, running to the hospital and playing with maid costumes, who are you trying to serve?"

Behind him was a huge rectangular fish tank with a variety of precious fish, and from time to time, the oxygen generator in the tank produced a few bubbles.

The slender hand played with the transparent long tube of the oxygen machine, and with a gentle pull, the tube would fall off and the fish in the tank would not die, but she knew that if it was the nurse's oxygen tube that was pulled out...

The devil in front of her was trying to remind her that if she didn't listen, he had plenty of solutions.

"If Mr. Alaric calls just to say this, then I'll hang up."

"My man is already in the ward..."

"Alaric, you dare!"

"I don't have the word 'dare' in my dictionary. Do you want to give it a try --"

Diana recalled the morning scene of him holding her hand and personally thrusting the silver needle into his chest, and her body trembled slightly.

"Diana, are you okay?" Caleb noticed something was wrong with Diana, and had just heard that she was ill and was a little worried.

But she was on the phone, and out of politeness he could only watch from a distance.

Diana shook her head at him, telling him not to worry.

"Tell me, what did you do in the hospital?" Alaric heard Caleb's voice, his eyebrows moving a little, still in a haughty manner.

"Of course I came to see a doctor, or else I looked like I was taking a break?"

"To relax? Smelled the incense and need Dr. Caleb to treat? Huh?"

"Do you think everyone is as dirty as you?"

"There's no best! I'm going to see you in twenty minutes." Alaric carelessly threw the fish food into the bathtub, inviting a bunch of small fish to scramble for it.

A flat tone, deep and pleasant voice, but what Diana heard in her ears was: See you, see how I deal with you.

Diana hung up the phone hard, no longer wanting to hear his voice, regardless of whether he had anything else to say.

She had never been so impatient with a person...

The phone was returned to the special guard, and behind her, more than a dozen luxury sports cars were neatly parked at the hospital entrance, looking very arrogant.

She glanced at the bodyguards' cars. Alaric wasn't in them, but she knew she had to go.

"Here to pick you up?"

"Um."

Caleb nodded, having been worried about her all morning, and now seeing that she was fine, the stone in his heart was finally lifted.

He didn't fail to notice the ambiguous mark that Alaric had left on her neck.

He could only tell himself to be patient, to build up his strength, and that one day she would be his.

"Diana." The voice tightened with tension, and the voice was deep and hoarse. Seeing Diana about to leave, Caleb called her back in time.

Diana turned her head and saw the man in a white coat, tall and straight, with the hem fluttering in the wind and the bangs in front of his forehead messed up.

"I forgot to tell you that I like shredded chicken noodles."

That day she said she would cook for her own celebration after the divorce and asked him what he would like to eat. He jokingly said a Manchu-Han feast, but actually he wanted to say that whatever she made herself, he would like it. If he had to give a specific answer, he thought it would be shredded chicken noodles.

His favorite dish, shredded chicken noodles, made by the person he loves the most, the thought of that moment fills his heart.

"Not a abundant feast?"

Caleb, with his hands in the pockets of his white coat, tilted his head and pouted his lips, said, "I'm very devoted."

With a joke, Diana chuckled softly, "Just wait."

A smile like a blooming flower, Caleb was a little stunned, but the nurse came out and called out that he had something to do. He came to his senses, reluctant but could only say goodbye.

David helped Diana open the car door, with cars leading the way on both sides, and soon drove into the main road.

The car drove into the grand estate, which was like a castle, with a group of butlers and servants waiting on either side.

Diana saw a familiar figure, the butler standing at the head of the group, Mrs. Rosa's personal old butler Zoe.

When the old butler saw her, he raised his hand and ordered, "Tie up, take away!"

Diana instinctively took two steps back, and the servants quickly gathered around.

"Who borrowed your guts to take me away? Alaric wants to see me, and you take me away like this, and you don't fear that Mr. Alaric will blame you?"

The old butler glanced at David who was standing in front of Diana.

David said, "Mr. Alaric does indeed want to see the madam."

Zoe hesitated for a moment and gave the servant beside her a wink: "Mrs. Rosa has ordered that if you have an opinion, go to her. I must take the person away."

"Well..." Without Alaric's clear instructions, David did not dare to disobey Mrs. Rosa's orders, so he removed Diana's protection.
