Suddenly being looked at like that by Kevin made Amelia blush all of a sudden, "I... I'm going home first, goodbye."
Amelia nervously unfastened her seat belt, but the more flustered she was, the more she couldn't unfasten it.
Kevin bent down to help Amelia unfasten her seat belt. The two were almost close, and Kevin could clearly feel Amelia's peculiar, faint fragrance, which made his throat roll involuntarily.
"Click." The seat belt is unfastened.
Kevin remained in his position without moving, and Amelia could clearly feel his warm breath and the burning light in his eyes.
"Sir, I..." Before Amelia could finish her words, a kiss with a man's fresh scent landed on her soft lips.
Amelia's head buzzed and she forgot to push the man in front of her for a moment.
After a long while, Kevin left reluctantly.
"Pay." Kevin looked at Amelia with a half-smile.
Amelia's face turned even redder and she wished she could find a crack in the ground to hide in.
The man in front of her, whom she had only met a few times, was so contemptuous of her, but what was most astonishing to Amelia was that she didn't dislike him at all!
Amelia had no idea what was wrong with her and, in a panic, opened the car door and got out.
Kevin followed and got out of the car, "Wait."
Amelia stopped and turned back, asking unnaturally, "Sir, do you have anything else?"
"My name is Kevin." Kevin then said gently, "Good night."
"Yeah." Amelia, blushing, walked home without looking back.
Kevin looked at Amelia's bashful escape and couldn't help but lift the corners of his mouth.
He had never had a woman by his side except for the one that happened five years ago, and he didn't know why Amelia had such a special attraction to him. Even he himself knew why he had suddenly kissed her.
It was a natural kiss.
Kevin pursed his lips, and he began to feel a bit infatuated with the woman.
The next day.
Amelia had just arrived at the company when she was met with Vince's taunts.
"Aren't you backed by a backer? Why are you back at work again?" He approached Amelia coldly.
"This is my job." She lowered her eyes, her tone flat, and did not pause for a moment while organizing the documents in her hand.
Looking at her calm demeanor, Vince's anger flared up for no reason. When did she become so emotionless? It seemed that only other men could make her face look different!
Vince, burning with rage, then went straight up and grabbed Amelia's chin, pinching her hard and forcing her to make eye contact with him.
If it were in the past, Amelia would have longed to get close to Vince and even wished they could go back to the past.
All these years, she stayed by his side, as humble as an ant. That was because she still had an obsession with him in her heart and an indelible sense of guilt.
But now, those hopes have long vanished.
Instead, there is calmness and indifference.
She calmly pried his hand away and said, "President Vince, you've crossed the line."
"Amelia!" Looking into her calm eyes and expression, Vince's rage was fully aroused. He went up and pinned Amelia against the wall, grabbed her chin and bowed down, and kissed her without saying a word.
Amelia was startled and struggled in a hurry, but she was not as strong as Vince.
Just as he was about to kiss her, a shrill female voice rang out inappropriately: "What are you doing?"
Vince frowned, let go of Amelia, and turned his head in displeasure.
-- It's Ashley.
She was looking at them in disbelief, her delicate face turning pale and bluish.
