Chapter 3

Calista POV

I woke up and groaned. That was the worst sleep I’ve ever had. And I’m sure that it's because I wasn’t with Neil. I shook my head, trying to clear the name out of my head. I sniffed but soon realised that my nose was blocked. Realising it must be from all the crying I had done, I got out of bed and stretched.

I walked to the brown curtains and pulled them open. I was expecting there to be sunlight that burned my eyes but instead it was gloomy and pouring down with rain. I smiled to myself. Good, now my scent will wash away.

I walked to the bathroom after grabbing a towel from my bag. I washed my body and my hair and hopped out. I looked in the mirror and examined my mark. The scars had healed but the picture was gone and B.C was no longer there.

I sighed with a smile and went to change into a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, a white loose tee and black converse. I also decided to wear a black hoodie over because of the rain.

I packed my bags and left the room. I had to move fast. No doubt he would be on to me. I walked down the stairs and paid the receptionist. I walked out and pulled my hoodie over my west pony tail. It sure was cold, and that’s coming from a werewolf.

I called out to a cab and told him where I wanted to go. He nodded and drove me to the airport. I had to get away from here. It was good that the airport was not in Neil’s territory, but the Alpha next to us.

I had to try and keep away from any of their pack members. Avoiding eye contact and talking to anyone. I’m considered a rouge now so there is no doubt that I would be kept in the cells if I were to be caught.

I frowned as the cab driver told us that we had arrived. I nodded and handed him his money and got out. I ran inside, avoiding on getting wet. Once I got inside, I walked to the receptionist where there was a man behind the counter. He looked about my age.

He smiled at me, his blues eyes shining and I returned it.

"How may I help you ma'am?" He asked, smoothing out his suit jacket before looking at me.

"Can I get a ticket to the next flight leaving, please?" I asked, placing my hand on the counter. He studied my face for a while before looking at the computer screen. He looked up at me with a frown, causing me to raise an eyebrow.

"Sorry ma'am but all the flights are fully booked for today." He said. I cursed under my breath. Great, the Gods were on my side - please note the sarcasm.

"Uhm, ok then. Just let me know if one opens up. Thanks."

He nodded and I walked slowly towards the seats. I sat down at an empty row and stared at my hands. This was bad. There was more of a chance for that Alpha to find me. But worse than that was there was more of a chance for Neil to find me. I shook my head lightly as I leaned back and closed my eyes, deciding to trust the Gods.

I was about to fall asleep a few minutes later but I felt a presence near me. I shot my eyes open and saw the guy standing in front of me. He had changed out of his work uniform into something much more attractive.

"Yes?" I asked as I raised an eye brow. He ran a hand through his golden hair and sighed.

"Well, my shift is over for the day and I was wondering if you would want to grab a coffee with me?" He asked. I stared at him in shock. So soon an opportunity has opened up for me to move on. This was my chance to get rid of all the thoughts of Neil. I smiled and nodded.

"Great! Do you need help with your bag?" He asked, holding his hand out. I grinned. He was such a gentleman! I shook my head and stood up. He started walking forward and I followed him.

He seemed nice and trustable. I followed him as he led me down some stairs and into a car park. He pushed a button on his remote and I heard a beep. I looked around and saw the lights of a red Ferrari blink. I looked at it with wide eyes and heard him chuckle.

"That's your car?!" I asked shocked.

"Yes, it was a gift from my parents." He said. Pretty cool parents to give their kid a Ferrari. I nodded and stepped into the beautiful car. I watched as he slid in too and started the engine up.

"Hey, uhm I didn't catch your name." He said.

"Oh, Calista." I said.

He nodded, "Bruce."

I nodded and smiled at him before he drove out of the parking lot and into the early traffic.

I know that it seems weird how I’m just jumping into a stranger’s car and letting him take me to some coffee shop but this guy – Bruce – gave off a good vibe. He seemed trustable and his approach was cute so I had no way of declining.

"So, are you new here?" He asked as we stopped at a red light, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah, you could say that. I’m just traveling a bit." I lied. He nodded and drove as the light turned green. It was an awkward silence but I didn't feel the need to break it.

I watched as he turned into a path into the woods. I panicked, my heart rate picking up at an incredible speed.

"Uhm, where are we going?" I asked as the panic was hitting me hard.

"Oh, it's a short cut." He muttered. I nodded and leaned back on the seat again. He won't hurt you Calista, I repeated in my mind.

‘I’m still here, don’t forget.’ My wolf whispered, reminding me that I still had her help.

I looked out the window as a mansion came into view. I stared at the house in amazement. It was beautiful and huge. As big as a pack house......

"WOLF!" I screamed as I un buckled my seatbelt. This guy was a wolf and was taking me to his Alpha. Ok, the panic was back. Before I could reach the door handle, he locked the doors and shook his head.

"Sorry." He mumbled.

"Please, let me go. I promise, I’ll leave your land straight away." I pleaded as he stopped in front of the house. He shook his head and gave me an apologetic smile before he unlocked the door.

I thought that he was giving me a chance to run so I turned around and opened the door and pulled my bag with me. But it was all his plan. Big arms pulled me into a brace and then suddenly my hands were tied behind my back.
